Our Mission

La Società Maria SS. dei Sette Dolori was created to:

• Bring young Italian Catholics back to the Faith, calling them to a serious and practiced commitment to Catholic life;

• Promote devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows especially through prayer, penance, and meditation on her Seven Sorrows;

• Rebuild a distinctly Catholic-Italian community grounded in truth, discipline, and tradition;

• Restore authentic Italian customs in their proper context. Not as cultural artifacts, but as expressions of the Catholic Faith from which they originated;

• Raise up new generations to sustain and lead Italian institutions and organizations with a Catholic focus;

• Strengthen Catholic life within our parishes, particularly the historically Italian parishes;

• Encourage strong, Catholic families rooted in faith, Italian culture, and a commitment to passing on both.

Why It Matters

We believe Italian culture cannot be separated from Catholicism. What was once faithfully handed down has been taken from us by the modern world and the generations who failed to pass it on. It must now be reclaimed, lived, and defended, not merely remembered. La Società Maria SS. dei Sette Dolori exists to take back what was taken from us.

Join Us

La Società Maria SS. dei Sette Dolori is open to those in the Denver metro area who would like to live their Italian heritage more deeply within the fullness of the Catholic Faith and tradition. We welcome:

• Practicing Catholics who desire a more traditional approach to the Faith through Italian culture;

• Lapsed Catholics who feel called to return;

• Those considering becoming Catholic who are also drawn to the Italian expression the Faith.

Membership is open to young adults ages 18–45.
